[rəmir'mɔ̃], Stadt im Département Vosges, Frankreich, 400 m über dem Meeresspiegel im oberen Moseltal in den Vogesen, 9 100 Einwohner; Textilindustrie, Chemiefaserfabrik, Maschinen- und Gerätebau.
 
 
Pfarrkirche Notre-Dame, ehemalige Frauenstiftskirche Saint-Pierre (1049 geweiht, später mehrfach umgebaut), Hallenkrypta aus dem 11. Jahrhundert. Das ehemalige Äbtissinnenpalais (1752) ist heute Rathaus, Gericht und Bibliothek. In zwei ehemaligen Kanonissenhäusern das Musée Charles Friry (u. a. Gemälde und religiöse Kleinkunst); Musée Fondation Charles de Bruyère (Vor- und Frühgeschichte, Gemälde, Skulpturen).
 
 
620 wurde im heutigen Stadtgebiet ein Männerkloster gegründet, in dessen Nachbarschaft ein karolingischer Königshof entstand. Das nahebei 910 angelegte Frauenkloster entwickelte sich zu einem der führenden im Reich. In seinem Schutz entstand die Stadt Remiremont.
